This rv park is right off I40 and the entrance is on the main road. Don’t follow the GPS directions or you will go miles out of your way. It’s a very large park with mostly pull thru sites and a nice organized pattern. Each street had a route 66 sign with a different state that Route 66 passes through. I think I was parked in Missouri.
I would give this park 4 stars just on customer service alone. I don’t know if it was just the employee who checked me in or if all employees are that nice but it made me feel like telling everyone.
I checked the map where I was assigned and noticed it was quite far from the dog park. Sometimes my older dog gets tired of walking by afternoon. I mentioned this and he immediately made an x on the map and circled a new spot. It was a spot with more services and I was grateful for the move and asked how much is the difference? He said no extra charge and handed me the map with a smile.
The other great thing was the very large gift and sundry store. Don’t bother stopping at those other tourist shops down the road. I found some great things right here.
- Store on site
- Clean large sites with mostly pull through
- Dog park
- Good Sam discount
- There is a laundry room and bathroom buildings but I didn’t visit any of these in my short visit
- No poop bags in the dog park; bring your own!
- I was there such a short time, didn’t notice enough negatives to even write about
